officially launched AsycudaWorld in March 2002. The Programme plans to
start implementing AsycudaWorld in 2004. One of the major challenges in
this process will be to transfer the technical know-how to the national
Customs Project Teams. Due to the n-tier nature of AsycudaWorld architecture, it is
possible to implement a mixed system combining AsycudaWorld and
ASYCUDA++ components. Thus, a phased approach to implementing
AsycudaWorld can be adopted, with customs sites switching progressively to the new technology.
