SIDUNEA - Sistema aDUaNEro Automatizado
En 1981 la UNCTAD recibió una solicitud de la secretaría de la Comunidad Económica de Estados de Africa Occidental (CEDEAO) para ayudar en la recopilación de resultados estadísticos sobre el comercio exterior de sus estados miembros. Un estudio preliminar hizo ver que la mejor solución era involucrar las Aduanas y modernizar los procedimientos de desaduanamiento, para garantizar unos resultados estadísticos fiables.

UNCTAD and the Netherlands to cooperate in Customs sector
The Parties will develop an integrated ASYCUDA/export control system and its subsequent piloting in an ASYCUDA user country. Implementing the system will simplify export procedures and enable the use of electronic export certification. At a later stage, UNCTAD will make the system available to other beneficiary countries.

UNCTAD and International Road Transport Union agree to cooperate in customs sector
UNCTAD and the International Road Transport Union (IRU) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on future cooperation on promotion of international standards and best practice in the Customs Sector and on integration of the latest IRU's TIR functions into UNCTAD's ASYCUDA system and the piloting of the integrated ASYCUDA/TIR system in Georgia and Moldova.

LAO PDR government signs ASYCUDA project document
Representatives from the LAO PDR government and UNCTAD sign the ASYCUDA World project documentation. The ceremony was chaired by the Vice Minister for Finance in the presence of senior officials from both the public and private sectors.
The project will see the reform and modernisation of the Customs clearance procedures and the staggered deployment of the state of the art ASYCUDA World system in LAO PDR.
