SIDUNEA - Sistema aDUaNEro Automatizado

En 1981 la UNCTAD recibió una solicitud de la secretaría de la Comunidad Económica de Estados de Africa Occidental (CEDEAO) para ayudar en la recopilación de resultados estadísticos sobre el comercio exterior de sus estados miembros. Un estudio preliminar hizo ver que la mejor solución era involucrar las Aduanas y modernizar los procedimientos de desaduanamiento, para garantizar unos resultados estadísticos fiables.

CITES Secretariat and UNCTAD join forces to assist customs authorities to regulate trade in wildlife

The Secretariat of the Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora (CITES) and the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD) have agreed to work together in providing customs authorities with better tools to regulate the import and export of CITES-listed species. Among these will be a module for international trade in CITES-listed species, called ACITES, which will be fully integrated into UNCTAD’s Automated SYstem for CUstoms DAta (ASYCUDA).
Saint Pierre et Miquelon and UNCTAD enter into a technical cooperation agreement for the simplification and automation of customs

On 19 March 2014, a technical assistance agreement was signed between a delegation from Saint-Pierre et Miquelon and UNCTAD. The delegation was led by Mr Stephane ARTANO, President of the territorial Council who was accompanied by Mr Dominique DELDICQUE, Customs Service Head.

Saint-Pierre et Miquelon is the second French territory to adopt ASYCUDA to support its customs modernization initiative.
UNCTAD and ASEZA sign a Memorandum of Understanding

The Deputy Secretary-General of UNCTAD, Petko Draganov, has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Chief Commissioner of the Aqaba Special Economic Zone Authority (ASEZA), Dr. Kamel Mahadin.

The MOU provides for strengthening trade-facilitation e-Government initiatives and economic cooperation; promoting the concept of electronic single-window systems and creating favorable conditions for the activities of economic operators; integrating the processes for customs, transport and other forms of state controls at the borders; developing solutions utilizing modern and efficient information and communication technologies.
