SIDUNEA - Sistema aDUaNEro Automatizado
En 1981 la UNCTAD recibió una solicitud de la secretaría de la Comunidad Económica de Estados de Africa Occidental (CEDEAO) para ayudar en la recopilación de resultados estadísticos sobre el comercio exterior de sus estados miembros. Un estudio preliminar hizo ver que la mejor solución era involucrar las Aduanas y modernizar los procedimientos de desaduanamiento, para garantizar unos resultados estadísticos fiables.

UNCTAD's ASYCUDA Programme involved in four new ASYCUDA World projects
The project documents for the deployment of the web-based ASYCUDA World in four customs administrations were signed during the recently concluded Multi Year Expert Meeting and UNECE Single Window conference

UNCTAD's 2011 ASYCUDA WORLD REPORT is released on 7th December 2011
The ASYCUDA World report presents. by country or territory, the actual situation of the implementation and use of the ASYCUDA system (Automated SYstem for CUstoms DAta) within the Customs Administrations on five continents. Each country or territory report provides information on the local system including Customs and technical implementation data as well as statistical figures on the trade transactions handled by the system.

ASYCUDA Center for Regional Networked Customs
On 1st November 2011, Mr. Ghaleb Qasem Al-Sarayreh, Director General of Jordan Customs Administration and Mr Petko Draganov, Deputy Secretary General of UNCTAD signed a project through which UNCTAD will provide appropriate technical assistance for the creation of an ASYCUDA Centre for Regional Networked Customs.
The Centre will promote, develop and monitor the electronic data exchanges between Customs administrations. In particular, the Centre will develop solutions for processing electronically Entry Summary Declarations (ENS) and pre-arrival declarations.
