SIDUNEA - Sistema aDUaNEro Automatizado

DR Congo to introduce Performance Measurement in Customs Authority.

On Friday 24 April 2015, the Customs Authority of the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC) signed a project document covering the implementation of the new ASYPM performance measurement module of the ASYCUDA System. The three year project will be launched in the coming weeks.

The WCO and UNCTAD have been working together since 2013 to develop this performance measurement module. The latter uses data contained in the automated Customs clearance system to produce information on specific Customs procedures, offices and officers as well as on Customs' stakeholders. Several Customs administrations have demonstrated interest for this approach that enables Customs leaders to have an overall and objective vision of their administration in order to improve efficiency.
