SIDUNEA - Sistema aDUaNEro Automatizado
En 1981 la UNCTAD recibió una solicitud de la secretaría de la Comunidad Económica de Estados de Africa Occidental (CEDEAO) para ayudar en la recopilación de resultados estadísticos sobre el comercio exterior de sus estados miembros. Un estudio preliminar hizo ver que la mejor solución era involucrar las Aduanas y modernizar los procedimientos de desaduanamiento, para garantizar unos resultados estadísticos fiables.

LAO PDR and UNCTAD sign agreement for the deployment of ASYCUDA World
The Agreement was signed by the Director General of the Customs department and the UNCTAD representative in the presence of the Vice minister for Finance, senior government officials and representatives from the World Bank.
The project shall deliver a state of the art, web based, customs automated system which shall contribute effectively towards the government's structural reform initiative, including the centralisation of Customs operations, and Trade facilitation.

SINDA 2010 or the paperless environment for foreign trade operations
M. Supachai Panitchpakdi, Secretary General of the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development, M. Mohamed Rachid Kchiche, Minister for Finance of the Republic of Tunisia, and M. Slimane Ouarak, Director General of Customs attended a presentation of the new system SINDA2010/SYDONIAWorld which provides a fully automated environment for Customs operations
The Minister for Finances emphasized the importance of the partnership with UNCTAD for the government of Tunisia, and the support it enjoys at the highest level of government.

Official launch of the ASYCUDA World project in Sri Lanka
The Sri Lanka Customs Department formally launches the ASYCUDA World project to bring increased levels of efficiency and trade facilitation.
This project, which will among other things deploy the latest technology to support customs processes, is an important milestone in the modernisation and automation initiative of the department.
