24/10/2007 GEORGIA - ASYCUDAWorld Transit System operational at national level
The ASYCUDAWorld Transit System is operational at national level in the Ministry of Finance/Revenue Service (SRS) headquarters and 32 Customs Offices (border and inland). More than 700 Customs officers have been previously trained by the SRS ASYCUDAWorld Project Team in the operation of the system.

11/7/2007 GEORGIA - 1st ASYCUDAWorld Pilot Site operational
The ASYCUDAWorld is fully operational in the Tbilisi/Vehicle Clearance Customs Office, the first pilot site in Georgia.
The inauguration of this pilot site was followed by a High-level Coordination Meeting UNCTAD - State Revenue Service to agree on the planning of the national roll-out of the system.

The latest version of ASYCUDAWorld - historised version - was implemented at national level. Moldova is the first ASYCUDA-user country in which this version is implemented in the customs operational environment.
18/1/2007 GEORGIA - ASYCUDAWorld project financed by the Government
The Agreement for the implementation of ASYCUDAWorld in Georgia was signed by the Government/Ministry of Finance and UNCTAD.
The first ASYCUDAWorld training activities (technology, technical and functional) will start mid February 2007.

The ASYCUDA++ Ver 1.19 is fully operational in the State Revenue Service. This version is comaptible with the Commission Regulation (EC) No 2286/2003 [amending Regulation (EEC) No 2454/93 laying down provisions for the implementation of Council Regulation (EEC) No 2913/92 establishing the Community Customs Code].

This 3 million Euros project will also improve the exchange of transit data between borders through web services.

2/12/2005 EUROPEAN REGION - New ASYCUDA++ EU Version
A new ASYCUDA++ EU version (1.19) is available to the ASYCUDA-user countries in the region. This version is compatible with the changes brought by the Commission Regulation (EC) No 2286/2003 [amending Regulation (EEC) No 2454/93 laying down provisions for the implementation of Council Regulation (EEC) No 2913/92 establishing the Community Customs Code].

16/6/2004 ALBANIA - 3rd ASYCUDA Steering Committee Meeting The third ASYCUDA Steering Committee Meeting took place in Durres Port, in the presence of Mr A. Malaj - Minister of Finance, Mr S. Idrizi - Customs Director General, UNCTAD, European Commission / EC Delegation and CAM-A, the World Bank / TTFSE Project Manager. The meeting approved the completion of the Pilot Phase of the ASYCUDA Project and the start of the Roll-out Phase. The achievements of the Pilot Phase have been recently appreciated by Mr J-P Olters - IMF Resident Representative and the IMF evaluation mission.

1/7/2003 Successful implementation of the Manifest modules (MOTRB and MODCAR) in Nadi from the 1st July 2003 with ASMP and Samoa Customs support. Nadi Airport is dealing with 90% of the Air Cargo in Fiji Islands and 12 operators are providing electronic Manifest to Nadi Customs. This successful implementation should be followed by the 2 other major ports: Lautoka (Sea Cargo) on the 1st September 2003 and Suva (Sea and Air Cargo) on the 1st October 2003. More Info

16/6/2003 CHITTAGONG, BANGLADESH - Launch of Direct Trader Input facility. Chittagong Custom House, in conjunction with the Chittagong C&F Agents Association, commenced operations of a direct trader input facility. The facility equipped, managed and staffed by the C&F Agents association will in its first phase capture Export declarations prior to submission at the Customs House. This initiative will reduce the waiting time on declaration data-entry for Agents and contribute to the implementation of a closed environment for Customs. The facility will be expanded in the coming months to cover Bond and Import declarations. More Info
12/6/2003 DHAKA, BANGLADESH - ASYCUDA++ mentioned in National Budget. In the annual Budget speech, the Finance Minister of Bangladesh made specific mention to the implementation of ASYCUDA and how thus far in the project life improvements have been made to Customs operations. The Minister made specific mention of the DTI initiatives and supported further activities to increase the transparency and efficiency of Customs. More Info
